When asked what he wanted for Father's Day, Andrew replied, "to go camping on our family land in Oklahoma". So that is exactly what we did. Except for we went "glamping". Even though we had a travel trailer and a generator we still had ticks, flies, snakes, and cattle checking in periodically to make sure we were really getting that good ole glamping experience. We went to not only go fishing, look up at the stars, but also to pick blackberries. Sadly they were not ripe yet. We did however pick a million wild sandhill plums to bring home and make sandhill plum jelly. Last week I went over to my moms house and she helped me make the jelly. It is so delicious and easy easy EASY to make! Loved the process. Andrew deserved this trip after so much hard work this year at his job. I am so grateful for the husband, provider and Dad that he is. I am so lucky to have him! Happy Father's Day, Andrew!

We took lots of truck rides and enjoyed praying, singing, and just having fun with each other this weekend!

Thank goodness for travel trailers and generators ;)...

I boycotted the TV for 2 days. On the third day I finally caved and let this tiny travel TV play looney toons.

The grill master making the ribs delicious!

Playing Christmas Bingo in the trailer with mom in the heat of the day!

Sandhill plums!!

The hot pink/fuschia ones are the color of these wild plums when they are ripe. They ripen after they are picked as well. So we picked every plum we could spot or reach. The bushes do have big and long thorns and grow in big clusters so make sure and pick with caution :).

My girl and I sorting and washing the plums.

My little ham bone, Stetson!

The kids put a mosquito bracelet around Rosie's neck. Don't worry it wasn't choking her.. and I'm not sure it was keeping bugs away either.
