WORD WEDNESDAY | TRUTH

As I limped tirelessly to the living room, dodging laundry and toys, I sat... working up the strength to muster up words to say to the creator of this universe.

As a first born female and religion recovering survivor, I often need things to be perfect or FEEL good enough for me to be able to present them to anyone let alone God. I often get trapped in a cycle of believing the lie that what I have to offer a king is not glamorous enough.

As I sat, I heard the spirit of the living God say to me, "your offering is enough for me. I delight in you!" My nonperfect world is what He prefers. And goodness knows that a messy version of Terra is a more real one. The enemy will tell you the lie that you are too pitiful to do any good. "Just stay in bed, that dream wouldn't have worked out anyway", he will taunt you with. He will whisper, "how hopeless are you", when you have to lock yourself in the restroom to war in prayer for your kids and husband because you are about to lose your ever loving mind.

When the TRUTH of the matter is that the Holy spirit can meet you in that toothpaste covered sink of a bathroom and give you exactly what you need and are asking for. The tragedy in this moment would be if you don't open your mouth and speak to Him.

Don't let the idiotic words from a snake with a god complex stop you from exhibiting power and strength that you have inside of you regardless of your circumstances.

He delights in your real and authentic worship.
