Our staycation was so fun last week! We went swimming, hiking, ventured out to museums, saw a movie, saw friends, went through kids closets, got backpacks washed, & got my car's oil changed.. ;)

It was such a fun and NEEDED week!

One of the items on our list of to-do's for the week was to go and find some dinosaurs. The kids have just discovered Jurassic Park this summer and are obsessed. Sterling in particular. He is 100% recklessly in love with dinosaurs. So we packed up the car last Friday and drove to Dinosaur Valley State Park.

There we went hiking down to see dinosaur tracks and then hiked around the entire rest of the park. In between heat waves at the park we took our sweaty bodies to the Creation Evidence Museum to get some much needed education and air conditioning. Can I get an AMEN?

When we drove up Sterling freaked out because outside of the museum are Velociraptors. Which is his favorite dinosaur. The museum was so amazing! They basically walk you through the creation of our world according to the bible. They have fossils, artifacts, a pre-flood atmosphere chamber, ancient bibles, AND WOOD FROM NOAH'S ARK! I was geeking out. It's like all the evidence of the sunday school lessions from childhood coming to life right before my eyes. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Enjoy my glamorous phone photography from our time in Dinosaur Valley!

*que the dramamtic TRex roar*...

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3
