TUESDAY TEACHING | UNSTOPPABLE

Last week my sister decided to treat my two littles and I with a trip to the heard museum while the big kids were at school! We had such a great time! (Thanks Tess)

While we were there we ventured into a butterfly garden and out came my camera. I followed the dainty little creatures around trying to catch the perfect image to remember our time there. I took SO MANY images in hopes that I would find that perfect image on my memory card later.

This particular butterfly (shown above) was the only butterfly that would sit long enough for me to take an image there that day.

When I came home and began to look through the images of this butterfly I noticed that the tops of her wings were damaged. I began to search and search my MANY images trying to find one of a perfect and whole butterfly.

Then God interjected my thoughts with questions.

Has the butterfly been completely stopped due to the damage of her wings? Has she been rendered useless? Has her identity changed? Has the damage to her wings kept her from her knowing or others SEEING that she is in fact a butterfly?

How many of us have viewed damaged parts of our souls, hearts, minds, physical bodies as a big STOP sign in life?

How many times have we questioned our effectiveness based upon a piece of us that isn't perfect? I know I have.

Due to the imperfect wings (that have effected her speed and linger time on a flower) this butterfly possesses, I was able to sit and really look at her. To take in her beauty.

Have you ever considered that even when a situation, flaw, and/or circumstance slows us down that even THAT has purpose?

Paul, an apostle of God, was imprisoned for his faith. He was partnering with God, healing people, and spreading the good news of God's gift of love, Jesus. He didn't deserve to be in prison yet he was. He should have been out and traveling, spreading the gospel. The enemy tried to stop him. YET if he hadn't been slowed down, imprisoned, with lots of silence surrounding him, the majority of our New Testament in our bible today would not have been written. Due to his circumstances, he was put in a position of having to write letters instead of meeting God's people face to face with spoken words.

Since that took place, we now have an abundance of history and God breathed word to base our Christian lives upon.

What in your life are you allowing to stop you from moving forward? Does your perspective need to change about your situation? What do you currently have that can be used as fuel to move you forward?

I challenge you to live your life partnered with the UNSTOPPABLE power of Christ Jesus!

If you are breathing, you still have purpose in this life. Keep moving, keep fighting, keep learning, keep growing, and live life to the fullest as a son and daughter of the most high GOD!
